For years I've heard my very large aunt complain about how people constantly bring up stories of people they know who've lost weight. Everywhere she goes; whether at work, or getting a massage, or in a store, someone has to bring up the story of their friend, uncle, mother, cousin etc. who went on this diet or that, got this surgery or that and lost tons of weight. When she doesn't even bring it up! People just HAVE to tell their story, un asked for. I didn't believe her until I spent a week with her and you know what? It's true! People are so rude and don't realize it. It's like when you are that fat you have a giant "please, tell me YOUR weight loss story and I'm sure that will be the one that will change my life" stamped on her forehead. I learned it that week with her and so wanted to share that here.

I wish they would show that social phenomenon in this TV show.

Well, we all pay for obesity because if they way our healthcare system is structured. Obamacare was designed for the healthy to have to get insurance so to subsidize the sick, including people who eat themselves into diseases. Also, maybe someone cares and doesn't want to see your aunt die before 60 due to MI,stroke,hypertension,diabetes complications, etc.

Obese people probably save the healthcare system money because they have shorter life spans.

Oh, please. Get a grip. Not all of us fat people are greedy pigs set about killing ourselves by over-eating. Don't be so high-and-mighty about certain diseases until you HAVE one. STFU about what you don't know.
