Is it true that "Razzies have NO credibility"?

(I don't care much about any awards these days, I watch them sometimes to see the actors, actresses - and their beautiful dresses, just for fun. I don't work in the film industry, nor do I have any relatives who do. I had heard about Razzies but never paid attention)

Question: Is it true that "Razzies have NO credibility"?

The fact is anyone can PAY to be a Razzies voting member, and you do NOT have to see the nominated movies to vote!!! Razzies have NO credibility, and they only target famous celebrities to seek publicity and attention so as to make themselves relevant. Media should avoid covering Razzies and let people know how ridiculous Razzies are.

Actually I don't know , it's possible , but I don't care if Jamie or any favourite actor get Razzies etc .. I'll still love him and convinced of his talent .
which mean , fans aren't affected by shows but ACTOR'S CHARISMA 😉

Sandra Bullock and Hallie Berry have both "won" worst actress, and they went on to win Oscars...and both went and picked up their award..

reply

Yeah , that's right . Razzies aren't the end of the World

Well I did some google research and this is what I get :
Who determines the winners?
More than 600 voters in the U.S. and more than a dozen foreign countries take part in the ballots. It’s not an exclusive organization or a secret society — you can purchase your membership at the Razzie website.

That sounds … legit.
Well, the awards have been criticized for not requiring voters to have actually watched the movies they’re slamming in their votes, according to IndieWire.
Another one taken from The Telegraph

Oh, and one more minor point: the 750-or-so voting members of the Golden Raspberry Awards Foundation don’t actually have to watch the films they vote for. The only requirement for taking part is payment of the membership fee, which is $40 for the first 12 months with a $25 annual renewal, or $500 for the lifetime package.
So,based on this Razzies can't be taken seriously as a real credible ceremony.
Now my opinion is that you shouldn't look for awards, ratings or criticism. When you watch a movie and you love and enjoy watching it,just give importance to your own opinion and let others give theirs.

Doesn't really matter I still love fsog and Jamie and Dakota so the razzles can go fall off a cliff.

Okay...you have to pay to join, and you don't have to see the movies...so who and why would you be a member?

Okay...you have to pay to join, and you don't have to see the movies...so who and why would you be a member? People who want to feel important.
Seriously, I can't understand what it means when someone rates a movie 1/10 or so without watching it. What are they rating then?
It is just like someone says this food is bitter I don't want to eat it when they don't know / are not seeing the food / are not being told what the food is at their mom's home.

Same can be said about the Golden Globes, they can be bought too with bribes and such but i doubt a thorough investigation would be done if Jamie won one!
