I don't mean this as an insult, but....

I don't think she's pretty.
Don't get me wrong-- there's nothing wrong with that!!!
I'm actually glad to see that casting directors are starting to find value for women and girls beyond the shallow aesthetic.
She's like the equivalent of Fred Savage on The Wonder Years. Not especially good looking, but relatable and approachable.

What throws me a bit for a loop is when everyone acts like she's soooooo gorgeous. She's as plain as any girl in any random one-horse town anywhere in this country. You could throw a stone in Smalltown, Iowa and hit a girl you could make up to be prettier than Bailee Madison. Keep in mind, this girl has ALLLL the help in the world to look that way...so even if she does look pretty in, say, her main IMDB picture (and she does..that's the first pic I've ever seen that I thought she looked pretty in,) keep in mind that's professional hair, make up, lighting, photography, the best camera AND photoshop. Soo...again.. you could make any girl up to look like that.

That said, I don't dislike her at all. It sounds cliché but truthfully, she's a great role model. Smart, virtuous, seems to have the right core values even after years of success... I wish her all the best and sincerely hope her success continues into her adulthood. We could use some good role models for WOMEN too. Hopefully she won't give in to pressure to be underweight and under dressed as she transitions into adulthood.
