Will be either the 48th or 49th president.

He's the Democrats' best hope at this point.

reply

No chance. They won’t put another California candidate at the top of the ticket for a long time, not to mention the ex-mayor of a progressive shithole like San Francisco. It’ll have to be either Shapiro or someone from the Midwest who claims to understand working people.

reply

i expect him to run, DNC won't decide, there will be a primary picking the choice, who ever is most charismatic will win nom

reply

Oh of course he’ll run, but he won’t win. The DNC won’t allow it. Take that to mean whatever you will.

reply

After 4 years of Trump a progressive like Newsom will look good. Too early to count him out.

reply

"After 4 years of Trump a progressive like Newsom will look good."

To who? People who live in NY City and the California coast?

reply

48 percent, half the country voted for that dimwit Harris

Please, Newsom would have done much better.

reply

80% of the counties voted for Trump.

reply

So, the popular vote was razor thin, 50% to 48%. Harris was a weak appointed candidate. She is probably the only major Democratic contender who is weaker than Trump. Trump has massive negatives, several felonies, and evidence of sexual harassment. Any Democrat besides doddering old Biden and flipflopping far left Harris could have beaten him. The Democrats screwed this one up bigtime.

reply

according to the real results and not some made up requirement like the popular vote.

Trump won 32 states and got 312 electoral college votes.

according to this map, Trump won over 80% of the counties in america.

basically Americas have had enough of Tyranny and Hitler and decided to vote for someone that is for Democracy and Freedom and that person is President Donald J Trump. the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America.

I'm a Democrat who disliked Harris personally more than I oppose many of Trump's policies. So I really can say I was neutral in this one.

But you can't say this was a resounding endorsement of Trump. So if 2% of women and blacks got off their fat asses and voted for Harris, the media would be babbling about a Harris "landslide".

reply

most people disliked Harris which is why she lost. even though the liberal mainstream media said she was going to win. according to the numbers it was a resounding landslide for Trump and MAGA.

I assume you saw this right?

dems would have better off not cheating and letting Trump win in 2020. then Joe and Kamala or Kamala and someone else could have ran for Pres in 2024 and more than likely would have won. but unfortunately dems are spiteful people and couldnt see the bigger picture.

unfortunately, dems will do everything they can for the next 4 years to make sure Trump fails. Joe is escalating the war in Ukraine 2 months before Trump takes over. who does that?

reply

Most people disliked both candidates. Yes, Harris was an incredibly weak candidate, but even at that, she came within 2% of winning. Any other Democrat would have won.

As a Dem there are two reasons I did not hold my breath and vote for her:

1) She was appointed the nominee and earned not a single primary vote. The Democratic Convention was ready to assemble and it was a spit in the face of democracy that they weren't allowed to do their job and choose the candidate.

2) Her endorsement by Dick Cheney sealed the deal that she was to continue the Neo-Con war machine and get us embroiled in even more foreign debacles.

Yes, the map reflects the fact that Democrats are concentrated in urban areas and Republicans dominate sparsely populated rural areas.

But that doesn't mean an urban voter is any less important.

The Republican doesn't need to win the popular vote to win in the Electoral College. However, if the Democrat loses the popular vote by even a scant 2%, they will lose the Electoral College.

reply

If there was a worse candidate than KaMAla this is it!

reply

He'd turn the rest of the nation into California.

reply

I don't think so.

I used to.

But after the Harris loss, I doubt it.

And he looks like a rat, with his greasy slicked back hair. He comes across as smug and is not likeable.

As much of a prick Donald Trump is, he looks like a kitten compared to this guy.

reply

I'll add. I think Mark Kelly would be a better choice.

But who knows?

A recession seems to happen every 10 years.

reply

Democrats need a complete reset. They need to shitcan the old guard, the Clinton’s, Obamas, Pelosi’s (which includes her nephew Neesom). They are so far out of touch with reality is scary.

reply

Will be either the 48th or 49th president.

Best hope?? To do what?? Ruin America like he has California?? I wouldn't let this man manage a gas station for heaven's sake?? He does have that slicked back, Gordon Gecko look going for him, and looks like Pat O'Reilly but that's it

reply

Yeah, better not to light a match near that guy's head.

reply

This dude is pure concentrated sleaze.

reply

Please no. He already helped wreck California and doesn't give a shit about the voters at all outside of election time. Last thing we need is another stupid, tone-deaf, elitist pig like him in charge of America. Do you really want all of America to look like California? I don't.
