Hypertelorism
Hypertelorism: an abnormally increased distance between the eyes. It is often associated with certain genetic conditions or syndromes. It's not a health problem in and of itself, but rather a physical manifestation of underlying genetic conditions.
Hypertelorism can be associated with conditions such as:
Craniofacial syndromes such as Crouzon syndrome or Apert syndrome, which can cause issues with skull and facial bone development.
Cardiovascular conditions such as congenital heart disease in the case of conditions like Noonan syndrome.
Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18) or Pfeiffer syndrome, which can lead to a wide range of health problems.
