She was great in Prey (2022) and I've been waiting to see what she'll be up to next.

Nathan Caine is a mild-mannered introvert with a rare disorder, congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), who must rescue his girlfriend who has been taken hostage in a bank robbery. Action, Thriller. - Paramount

Sounds decent, she's one of only two women currently billed. So it's possible she'll be the girlfriend that is taken hostage.

The Chuska Warriors, a Native American high school basketball team from Chuska, New Mexico, are competing for the state championship title but lose their star player. Sports, Drama. - Netflix

Seems like she'll be getting quite a bit of work due to her ethnic background, one of the first names when people are looking to cast a woman of Native descent. The director is a woman of Native American descent which makes me think this movie will be about a women's basketball team. That doesn't interest me much but seeing Amber in a basketball kit might be fun.

An iconic pop star returns after decades missing. Horror, Drama. - A24

Amber in a horror movie? Sounds good.

I agree she was great in Prey. Wasn't there mention recently that she was going to be appearing in a direct sequel to that?

reply

There was talk of a sequel. Amber said she'd like to do another and the director said there have been discussions with the studio but it hasn't been greenlit so far, so who knows what'll happen. It's up in the air at the moment.

Currently though the director of Prey (Dan Trachtenberg) will be returning to the Predator franchise with a new standalone called Badlands, with Elle Fanning rumored to star.

Yes, I'd heard about the other movie. I'd like to see a direct sequel to Prey, so long as they do the original justice.

I like the actress, but all three films appeared formulaic until I saw that the horror is made by A24. They've become my favorite studio because of the creative and quirky movies they make. Cast looks good, too.
