I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold
wow overreact much?
I guess those two must have been on the verge of splitting up anyway .

It does feel a bit like a "I'm taking my toys and going home" overreaction, and based on Jack's past comments, I'm not fully convinced he wasn't in on the joke.

Regardless, it's a net negative for Tenacious D not to be touring or making music.

I think it's the fact that he said it on stage, which makes it seems like a statement from both of them. So Black feels like he needs to distance himself. It may have been different if he had said it elsewhere.

Glass put him in a horrible position. I'm guessing if there wasn't a lot of tension between them before this, there was now.

People blaming Black or accusing him of betraying Glass are looking at it in a very one sided way.

That was an absolutely disgusting remark.

They'll probably resume their tour in a couple of weeks. People move on quickly these days...

This is his way of retreating from his comments and will emerge some time next year weather that's in acting or music.

Band was always shit anyway. Good riddance.

reply

They really were never that good. The self titled album maybe has 2 memorable songs and Pick of Destiny was a shit movie. Even fans of the band admit that movie isn't very good.
