West has not been shy about setting forth presidential ambitions before. shareHe would appeal more to Trump voters, but there is the theory he's Trump's last hope to try to split the African-American vote. First how many states will he get on the ballot for (i.e. swing states)? No one can predict if he'll be a spoiler. In 1992 Bush wanted Perot to enter thinking it would help him, but it helped Clinton. It's just too bad our system is still so terrible: Electoral College, no run-off voting, etc.
