People bitching and moaning that Theatre of Pain is a "pop glam sellout" because the song Home Sweet Home is on it. That's ONE SONG OUT OF TEN, the rest of the album sounds absolutely nothing like Home Sweet Home, instead it sounds more like Shout At The Devil. I guess by that logic both Destroyer by KISS and Welcome To My Nightmare by Alice Cooper were both sellouts because of the inclusions of Beth and Only Women Bleed. Heck I bet Black Sabbath Vol.4 was a sellout as well because of Changes.

Eh it’s not a good song but the rest of the album is pretty solid.

Eh fair enough you like it, but the point still remains the other 9 songs sound nothing like Home Sweet Home

It's definitely a slicker production and less heavy than the two previous albums. My recollection is they felt rushed when recording it and I don't think the band are all that happy with it either. I wouldn't call it a sell out album but there are a lot of weak songs on it.

Is it as good as the previous two? No, but that’s not saying much considering the first two were two of the greatest metal records ever. It’s still heavy metal except for Home Sweet Home.
