Question about the autobiography book "The Dirt"?

How come Vince Neil's childhood and coming of age years didn't occur until 2/3 into the book? The childhoods of Nikki, Tommy and Mick came at the beginning of the book but once we get into Vince's departure from the band was when we get to see Vince telling stories about his childhood.

reply

I think it might be because Vince had very little to do with the formation of Motley crue. He was the last person to join the band.

reply

Really? I was totally unaware of that, I do remember someone mentioning he had the stage persona of Robin Zander of Cheap Trick.

reply

The band started with Nikki and Tommy. From there they found Mick and then Vince as their singer.

reply

Vince was chosen because he looked good and the girls went nuts over him. They knew he wasn't a great singer.
