Why do people hate Tom Brady?

I don't hate him. I'm not a fan, either. He almost pulled off another miracle. But the Bucs' defense let them down at the end.

I am a Browns fan. Tom Brady seems like a good guy. I may root against him in the playoffs just so to watch different teams advance.

He gets way too much hate though.

Undeniably the best QB in NFL history. It is always common and accepted to hate the top dog. The top dog is always expected to behave as though above the seething rabble. He has always done a very good job of that. He has my respect.

However, he is kind of a weird dude. Off a little. I never gave much of a shit about the man behind the achievement. Seeing him make his son make out with him did not help at all.

It's called ONE-UPMANSHIP.

He felt slighted by where he was drafted, so he's devoted his career to "They didn't take me seriously, but I'll show them!"

He can't relax and enjoy his achievements, because there's always something else to throw back into the face of those who question or doubt him.

You can talk numbers all you want, but the underlying motivation is OVER-ACHIEVEMENT.

I don't know that people hate him so much as they're sick of him due to overexposure.

Probably cause he's a champion both on and off the field. Like, no part of his life sucks.

For the same reason people around the world like to shit on the USA. Not saying we're perfect, but people always want to hate on the GOAT.

Because he is a cheater, that played for a team that was notorious for cheating. If you win games by cheating it really doesn't mean much, but when you ignore the fact that your wins were based on cheating then you deserve nothing but contempt. Remember it wasn't just his under inflated balls, the Patriots were notorious for spying on other teams and cheating. A lot of other teams could have won if they stooped to cheating.
