The Next James Bond After Daniel Craig

You know, I have never seen Jupiter Assending nor have I have The Theory of Everything. But you know I remember first time I saw Eddie Redmayne, I really didn't know who he was and when he won the Oscars last year I didn't really care very much for him and really thought Michael Keyton was going to win. However, that being said, A lot of people have been talking about Daniel Craig leaving the role of James Bond 007 after Spectre and people have been saying a lot of about Idris Elba or Hugh Jackman getting the role of 007.

But I really believe after really finding out things about Redmayne and what kind of person he is. There was this one interview that I saw of him with Ellen I believe and I remember he said that to prepare for the role as Stephan Hawking he had to spend time with Mr. Hawking and go to Hospitals to learn about Mr. Hawking's disability and I think it just really shows of committed this guy really is to his craft.

And I think Daniel Craig steps down I really think if there is any actor that really deserves the role as 007, it's Eddie Redmayne and here are my biggest reasons why

1. Eddie Redmayne is an Oscar Winner and I think having an Oscar winning actor as James Bond would be a super ++++ and also with Redmayne's acting skills, He would be a great Successor to Daniel Craig and Bond franchise would be really in good hands with this actor. Also Redmayne is really handsome, really good looking, also I think he can be really tough Bond and dramatic Bond. Also with dramas this guy has done, Bond's World is filled with drama suspense especially in the 007 novels by Ian Flemming.

2. Another reason he would be a great James Bond is just like how he prepared really well to be Stephan Hawking in Theory of Everything, There is no doubt in my mind he would read almost every single James Bond novel by Ian Flemming to prepare for the role of 007. Also in his new movie, The Danish Girl, his character that he plays, I remember seeing the trailer today and his character in beginning of the trailer really looks a lot like Ian Flemming's Image of James Bond and also Redmayne would no doubt have no trouble getting the ladies which would make Sean Connery and Roger Moore proud.

3. This is the most important reason he would be a great James Bond is youth, Eddie Redmayne right now is 33 years old which I think is a perfect age to be James Bond. Also the Flemming's Bond in the books is 32 so he is very close in age of Bond in the novels. Daniel Craig is very close to James Bond of novels too, but Eddie Redmayne would really continue that path just fine. Also with Redmayne being 33 I can totally see him in more then 4 Bond movies. Daniel Craig is 47 years old so I can see that maybe he is getting tired of the role and Redmayne would be a great upgrade and a really smooth transition from Daniel Craig to Eddie Redmayne and it set the series on same path this new series.

Daniel Craig is the Beginning stage James Bond Casino Royale to Spectre where we don't see the Gun-Barrel Sequence or what the character is quite yet.

Eddie Redmayne comes in as not only the new Bond but as the Bond we all know and he is the same type of Bond that we all saw from Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton in those films.

So yeah, those are my biggest reasons why Eddie Redmayne should throw his hat in the race to be the new James Bond 007.

Cons About Eddie Redmayne

1. Unfortunately, Redmayne does not really have a lot of Action Movie Experience other then Jupiter Assending, Because he has been in a lot of drama movies. But if he does become James Bond one Bond actor I would really compare Redmayne to is George Lazenby because he was really inexperience before taking the role of 007 but we all know he turned out to be wonderful James Bond despite the fact that he only did one movie, but he did one GOOD James Bond movie when it really counted so I think Redmayne would do really we as James Bond but he would have to do some fighting classes to improve his fighting and hand to hand combat skills, Also maybe workout at a gym to get himself in shape for the role of James Bond. If he can do all of that stuff I think Eddie Redmayne could be maybe not the best James Bond but just be a good successor to Daniel Craig.

2. Sadly, his voice is maybe not the strongest voice the way Daniel Craig's Bond really is. But just like George Lazenby, Eddie Redmayne could improve his voice to be maybe just be as gritty as Daniel Craig, But also he did play the bad guy in Jupiter Assending so I think he would be a very gritty and very tough James Bond with help and with voice coaching.

Anyway, those are my thoughts and I really think Eddie Redmayne should be the 7th James Bond he would be really good I know he has some training and some work to do, but I think he would be a great James Bond and I really hope if he does enter the James Bond race along with Idris Elba and Hugh Jackman, I hope Barbra Broccoli and Michael G Wilson can look at Redmayne and maybe his resume and just maybe interview him and get to know him and see what he is like. Please make this happen. I think with him winning an Oscar, Forget about Idris Elba, Hugh Jackman or Tom Hardy, This guy would be a great Bond.

I also still remember when seeing him win the Oscar and I just know the next Bond was right there and I think Redmayne is the real deal and a star that is on the rise right now for success, Having him be the 7th James Bond I think would be the icing on the cake for his career, Also he has worked with Ben Winshaw(the actor who plays the new Q) and I'm pretty sure he Redmayne would crack up a lot of jokes with the new Q just like low Sean Connery would crack a lot of jokes during the briefing scenes with Desmond Llewelyn.

Anyway those are my thoughts what do you guys think?

No No No

Terrible actor. Completely over hyped.

ooooh --- i very like eddie redmayne and think that he´s among the best actors of his generation.

and i very dislike james bond... :-( .

but i think that that all doesn´t matter, because he´s "samancer" in 3 coming big movies and -i hope so!- will make small(er) fine films between them. so: no time for bond!

Michael Keaton would be a better James Bond

reply

No. He's far too wet. Horrible idea

reply

oh no! maybe in a film about james bond sitting in an old-age home and remembering scenes in his life, while his younger "he" is played by another.
keaton is even older than i old lady am, and looks even older than he really is :-/ . definitely no bond!

Yes good choice. I'd say it's a toss up between Redmayne, Elijah Wood and Daniel Radcliffe...

The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth.

Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood are too short to play Bond. Eddie would be an awesome choice.

And to the Keaton fans who suggested Keaton, maybe Keaton can be the old version of Bond(played by Eddie, in the young version).
