Transferred to NYU
Looks like she is not going to go to Stanford after all (I had a feeling she never wanted to go there). She transferred to NYU and will stay in New York.

Oh... Wow!.. WTF?!
I sincerely don't know what to say. So, I'll just state, I wish AnnaSophia had some genuine friends, or anyone, that could talk some sense into her.
ParanoidAndroid said Starbucks was the nail in the coffin, though I see this as the Dead End sign with Cobb being the navigator. Now it's whether AnnaSophia stops safely is the concern.
Again, I hope there's someone who can and will talk AnnaSophia out of this apparent pit.
P.S. Thanks for the info (update), nedave99

What's wrong with NYU?
shareI've never been there, though I conclude "nothing" from the knowledge I do have of the institution.
My gripe is how/why AnnaSophia decided to attend NYU.
Indeed, Robb delayed enrollment at Stanford shortly after acceptance (circa 2012) due to her participation in The Carrie Diaries, ASR's first leading role in a TV series, which does seem like a reasonable choice.
Fast-forward to spring 2014, when following the cancellation of the show, AnnaSophia did in fact visit Stanford and take part in the admissions weekend:

Fairly, I concede not knowing how the admit experience unfolds at larger universities -- I went to a community tech college. However, considering the former mentioned event presence as well as the comments about Robb's dorm assignment, AnnaSophia appeared devoted to the decision to finally accept entrance to the prestigious educational establishment.
Next, hop ahead to early and mid-August, when AnnaSophia visits her parents' and childhood home in Denver with her new dog Sir Ferguson, an action some speculate to be a sign that AnnaSophia is doing a few final college preparations and likely leaving Ferguson in the care of David and Janet. Again, behavior that seems logical/acceptable.
Now, just a week or so before the university move-in day, Robb heads back to New York City with Ferguson and, of course, be around Adam, which did result in some -- of what I feel deserving -- serious backlashes:

Most importantly to the topic at hand, very shortly thereafter, ASR is verified to have transferred to NYU at the last possible moments for fall registration.
In conclusion, even with the assumption AnnaSophia was reluctant about post-secondary education, she doesn't appear to be a person who'd make the frantic change from an esteemed institute such as Stanford unless there was unreasonable outside pressure Adam Cobb. Basically, the timing, connections, and finishing recklessness of the occurrences suggests Adam was able to coerce AnnaSophia to stick around.
Well, that's my take on the situation anyway.

That ship has sailed. Intervention of some kind is required if she wants to get this spray-tanned parasite off her back. The Starbucks thing was a joke, by the way. You can purchase delicious triple-chocolate muffins there for a pound (3 or so dollars) and I'll suffer through rich-white-guy jokes all year long for a few of those. Plus, given their ionospheric calorie count, we can lob 'em at Cobb's hyoer-nutritional, dog-juggling ass until the cows come home. Yeah.
I wish AnnaSophia had some genuine friends, or anyone, that could talk some sense into her.
Harder than you'd think, unfortunately. Firstly, she doesn't seem to really have any 'genuine friends' at the moment, mostly due to her move to New York that undoubtedly unsettled her relationships with her old Colorado friends. Secondly, she appears desperately ignorant, which is why she is so easily manipulated by more streetwise individuals like Cobb. She also seems to condone his abuse of the dog whilst advocating animal rights. This naivety is obviously a huge obstacle to her maturation and psychological development. Her only hope was staying in L.A. for life and never exposing herself to the harshness of the outside world. What's especially aggravating is that all of this could have been avoided if she had simply turned down the Carrie role. It wasn't like that woeful show was worth all this trouble.

That ship has sailed.
Once again, I think I've witnessed the same, but I keep remembering the tween-age ASR and all the potential she showed.
Intervention of some kind is required if she wants to get this spray-tanned parasite off her back.
Definitely, and that's why I made the open wish/plea someone will aggressively interject.
The Starbucks thing was a joke, by the way.
Okay, that one obviously whiffed passed me. Nevertheless, I stand by my response with the, hopefully, clarifying alternate analogy: I see it as the cherry on the sundae built of ASR's recent ignorance-driven contradictory behavior.
Firstly, she doesn't seem to really have any 'genuine friends' at the moment, mostly due to her move to New York that undoubtedly unsettled her relationships with her old Colorado friends.
More like (Colorado) family. I feel most of ASR's beneficial influence was from her parents and other relatives, but your point still stands.
Secondly, she appears desperately ignorant, which is why she is so easily manipulated by more streetwise individuals like Cobb.
Indeed, though I'll reference Ashley's adolescence-focused point as a reminder that AnnaSophia's naivety is in part due to her lifestyle choice:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1455681/board/nest/223602649?d=227776147#22 7776147
To summarize, Robb's lack of taking part in a difficult and diverse social scene, such as that experienced in HS has created a false sense of overall security, trustworthiness, selflessness, etc of people. In other words, AnnaSophia is learning the lessons we did in early teen years during her young (legally recognized) adulthood, which has the disadvantage of less protection, unfortunately.
Additionally, I'll refer to:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1455681/board/nest/223602649?d=227834061#22 7834061
Anyway....
What's especially aggravating is that all of this could have been avoided if she had simply turned down the Carrie role.
Well, I get her interest in accepting an invitation to portray a renowned character and make an entry onto TV. However, I won't disagree with:
It wasn't like that woeful show was worth all this trouble.

She's and adult. She can date whomever she wants and attend the university of her choice.
shareOf course. In fact, I want it to be her choice, which is, as I said, my gripe to attending NYU. The decision to transfer doesn't appear to have been made primarily based on AnnaSOphia's own desires.
Does Adam have the ability and right to make suggestions? Sure. However, the same goes for me and others. I can openly provide information and a personal assessment as to why AnnaSophia should ignore Cobb's claims and recommendations. I'm not demanding or commanding behavior from Robb, just greatly hoping she takes the data into consideration and reaches the logical conclusions herself. Basically, I'm allowed to explain my observations and conclusions as well as have expectations.
P.S. Go ahead and debate my points, that's fine. I enjoy learning new things and most times have no complaints about accusations of a mistake.
P.P.S. If I haven't expressed it well enough, despite these disappointing actions lately, I still have an admiration and commend ASR overall for many of her persoanilty traits and what she's done. In other words, I've seen great things of her and simply want them to continue. What's wrong with that?

Age is just a number. Turning 18 does not suddenly enable a naive child actor to make sensible decisions.
