Selena Gomez to Portray Linda Ronstadt in Biopic

VERY COOL.

I don't listen to Selena's music, but I enjoy watching her act.
She is cute as hell, a walking vision of loveliness and a good actress.

A Rainy Day in New York (2019)

Are they purposely not wanting this to be good?

If this actually happens, it will be interesting to see who will portray some of the peripheral figures in her life story: Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Johnny Cash, Paul Simon, the Eagles, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Jerry Brown, George Lucas, etc.

Of course, biopics are also well-known for glossing over what actually happened in their subject's life, as well as avoiding those who could potentially "raise issues" with how they are depicted.

That's interesting. Nobody can sing like Linda, but Selena does have the right look. And allegedly can sing somewhat. Probably enough for your standard music biopic to work out okay.

Selena was a dead ringer for Linda 12 years ago, but after Selena had her kidney transplant she looks like a different person altogether.
