I never knew that she was named after a street drug.

That is her family name. She is British and I'm sure that slang name isn't the same meaning over there.Skunk is the most used slang name in England.

She was born in London. She is English.

Britain is not a country. The United Kingdom is a soverign state made up of seperate countries.
