should he be mourned?
No
shareIf you are going to mourn Hitler, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, etc., yes, please do mourn this war criminal.
shareHe is not at that level. Don't be moronic.
Tell that to the 100,000 civilians he and your Bush, Jr. buddies got killed. Next, you're going to tell us about how the 600,000 dead from COVID were "expendable" too.
shareThey were fighting a war. Comparing them to Hitler is retarded.
As for the Covid victims take that up with your heroes in the communist party of China.
Hitter wasn’t fighting a war? This is big news!
shareHitler engaged in an organized attempt to eliminate entire groups of people(Jews, Slavs). If you are too stupid to see the difference I cannot help you.
In war you kill people and destroy things. There is a big difference between collateral damage and purposefully murdering people. Even a moron can understand that. Perhaps not you.
It was a joke. Don’t wet yourself over it.
Sheesh, a sense of humour wouldn’t go astray in this place 🙄
Libitards do not have a sense of humor.
How many civilian deaths from American forces in WW2? 2 million? We only fire bombed and nuked Japanese cities. Those were democrats so it is ok.
If you haven’t already worked out that I couldn’t give a rat’s about your political point scoring then I do apologise.
Your Democrats vs Republicans malarkey is wasted on me, sorry.
Hope you’re enjoying the forum 🙂
Yes, good American that was in the Navy.
shareFunny but I was just going to make a thread over HERE about him, after hearing of his recent death. As there were no threads here so far.
But I was at the hotel these few days holidaying and I rarely post if I am on holiday, for one.
So, yes, SHOULD we mourn Mr Donald (not Trump's, yes) Rumsfeld's death or not, and is he really a guilty bad guy over Iraq, or ... ?
When Dementia Joe expires I'll be posting the same question on his page and to that I'll say hell no.
shareAlso, didn't he ALSO show disrespect even to American forces themselves in the Iraq campaign by referring to their deaths in one of his speeches as "Stuff happens"?
shareCould you do us all a favor and have a friend or relative post here when you drop dead so we can all do cartwheels!
shareChump killed more Americans than Rummy.
shareThe US Government's response to 9/11 was disproportionate and counter productive. Donald Rumsfeld as the Secretary of Defense during that time and a key player in the response to 9/11 must take his share of the blame for that.
The interesting thing about history is paths not taken are "unknown unknowns".
There has been NO major terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11. Part of Rumsfeld and the Bush administrations strategy was that if we are going to fight terrorists, better to do it on foreign soil.
A major part of a governments role is protection of it's people from attack. 9/11 was a failure of government to do this.
It's a easy thing to say that Rumsfeld and Bush were too aggressive in the response after 9/11. However, the USA has gone 20 years without a serious terrorist attack on its soil.
If the administration took a more dove-ish approach, would we be able to say the same?
That is a unknown-unknown.
How many posts are you going to make about him?
Cry for help much?
