I think others have pointed it out, but in a rude fashion, but I'll share some facts.
The American media is no longer populated by journalists, and is completely controlled by activists. Rather than report news, they make up stories based on what they wish were true. As such, it is unsurprising you believe what you do.
Kyle Rittenhouse drove himself to Kenosha. It's where he worked, and where is father and grandparents lived. It is a very short distance from his home, and he was there almost every day. Meanwhile, his mom was home asleep at the time.
That he drove across a state line to get there is a meaningless thing. State lines are not like national borders, and people who live near state lines cross them all the time. It's a meaningless fact being hyped by the media to make it seem like he did something drastic-- he crossed a state line!
The gun he used is one that is legal for anyone 16 or older to use. It's primarily used for hunting. Again, the media describes it as a "military grade" weapon, a meaningless statement, but it is not a gun used by soldiers in wartime. He was legally allowed to carry the gun, and legally allowed to use it for self-defense.
Some news sources, including the Independent UK, wrote in their headline that he was found not guilty after shooting black protestors. Another blatant lie, meant to incite dissent. All three people he shot were white.
I could go on, but the gist is that the media wants people to believe Rittenhouse is a racist who went out hunting for black people that night. The truth is he was there after having been hired to protect a gas station from rioters. He provided first aid to people hurt in the riot, and intercepted a dumpster that had been set on fire and rolled towards the gas pumps. He put out the fire, likely saving many lives. All of that is documented on video. Also documented is that he is never seen threatening anyone, or harming anyone until he was attacked.
If you watch the video, you see Rosenbaum confront him, and Rittenhouse flees. He doesn't threaten Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum pursued him, threw something at him, then hid behind a car and leapt out to attack him. Still no shot from Rittenhouse. Only after Rosenbaum advanced on him did Rittenhouse point his weapon at Rosenbaum, but still he didn't shoot. When he lowered his weapon, Rosenbaum rushed him and grabbed the gun. Only then does Rittenhouse shoot.
If Kyle Rittenhouse went there to shoot people, I do not think he would have acted in that manner. He gave Rosenbaum every opportunity to leave him alone, and only fired when his life depended on it.
If you watch and break down the other two shootings, you will see the exact same pattern. Rittenhouse only shot as a last resort.
