Chose to go with "Levi" - claimed he had been turned down for roles because he was considered "too Jewish"

"Though he has no Jewish ancestry, Levi is often incorrectly perceived to be Jewish due to his stage name. In a 2016 interview, he claimed that he had been turned down for a number of roles because he was considered "too Jewish" for the part."

Yes, because JEWS have such a hard time in Hollywood.... what an absolute crock of nonsense. He more likely went with that stage name because he knew being associated with being jewish would land him roles. Jewish nepotism/favoritism is rampant in Hollywood, among other industries.

Yes. A lot of actors, like Whoopi Goldberg for instance, have intentionally chosen more Jewish sounding stage names in order to actually get roles. Anyhow, actors are crazy and their heads are constantly filled with nonsense by producers, agents and casting directors. He may have actually been told that a bunch of times. Cause they'll say anything besides, "we simply don't like you".
