Tom and Ben, together again 😀 hopefully.

Well, I like this. Let it happen. I also want Richard II to be announced.

reply

Looks like it has been confirmed. And oh YES PLEASE Richard I I.

I'm very excited about this. I do hope they change the name cause c'mon, 'Hard Boiled' is an awful name and fits nothing but eggs (I prefer runny though, but I digress.) The first thing that comes to mind with Frank Miller is Sin City in particular and film noir in general, and apparently this comic is scifi. So Ben Wheatley + Tom + film noir + scifi = HELL YES.

Do you even know what honor is?
- A horse.

You know, "Hard-boiled" is the title of a quite famous film by John Woo. One of the classic 90 Hong Kong Noir. I bet they will change the name if and when this happens.

BW + Tom + film noir + scifi = HELL YES.

ditto

Im just excited Tom is playing something robot ish, even if it's a cyborg, well if this deal goes through. I like some things from Frank Miller, like Kick-Ass, Sin City, The Dark Knight saga, The Killing Joke, Kingman Secret Service. And well, I like Ben Wheatley. His sense of humor is so twisted and I love his biting commentary.

I agree about the name  I thought of eggs as well.

Speaking of, what’s up next from you? There are several projects rumored

Yeah, there’s [monster movie] “Freakshift” which we’re still trying to make — probably, hopefully shooting that in June. And I’m writing stuff for Warners at the moment for “Hard Boiled,” the Frank Miller adaptation.

And is that still due to star Tom Hiddleston?

Yes it is. And then “Wages of Fear” is bouncing around too.

So Hard-Boiled is a yes (for now). But is he implying Wages of Fear is another collab with Tom down the pike? đŸ€”
