she just came on TV, I was sure i was gonna find someone on this board saying she looks like Anette O'Toole

Though the exact same thing when i first saw this movie, I though maybe she was her sister or something.

Watching Step Brothers, I thought it was Laura Linney, till I got on here.

Thought she was linney too, would have put money on it. I rarely do this, I mean like this is the third time in mylife I have gotten a mix up in actors.

Wow! Only my second post on IMDB, but I have to say, as a kid I was certain it was my family and my family alone that was infected with this "disease" of looking at an actor or actress in a movie or TV show and going like "hmm don't they look like...[place another actors name here]". I've been doing that almost all my life but I usually limit it to the time I spend with my family as it can get annoying. I feel so at home here noting that there are so many other people afflicted with this and that there are so many entries for so many other actors. scientifically I would like to know exactly what it is that makes humans do this. focus of attention on the face or is it our memory for faces and the way it categorizes faces. I guess there are only so many ways in which the human face can organize itself before it becomes iterative
But enuff of that... im only here coz, from the first time I saw Katherine Hahn on Crossing Jordan I could have sworn that she was either Ana Gasteyer's sister or Annette O'Toole's daughter. Watching Step Brothers last nite only reminded me of that, the resemblance is uncanny. Laters.

I was thinking the same thing: Ana Gasteyer & Annette O'Toole LOL Her facial expressions were so much like Annette it was scary!
