R.I.P. Kenzi
You were so filled with life and redefined classy sassy.
You will be sorely missed.
But it is now on to bigger and better things for Ksenia Solo.
From the supernova of your death will come the birth of a new star!

All I know is that if Kenzi really is gone then Lost Girl will not survive. The show practically committed suicide by killing off Kenzi.
Some people say that she will be back, and that season 5 of Lost Girl will be about Bo finding a way to bring Kenzi back. But the more bits and pieces of information I find about the upcoming season of Lost Girl the more it's starting to look like Kenzi is gone for good. :(
If Kenzi is no longer in Lost Girl then I'm done with the show for good. I refuse to watch the show if Kenzi is not in it.
I don't have any inside information.
I'm just making a face value assumption.
Who knows for sure what her fate is.
Feels more like a departure than a story line, though.
I am new here, but Solo is not on the list of returning actors to LG in season 5. I've seen the list several times and she is not there. Everyone else is mentioned as returning. I believe she is gone for season 5. Will she return in season 6 is the question for me? If there is a season 6. Afterall, season 4 ended with Bo putting flowers on Kenzi's grave. That's about as final as you get.
shareSPOILER WARNING!
There are a couple of things that definitely raise some eyebrows about this. For one thing in the final episode of season 4 of List Girl they make it a point to have Kenzi say that Bo can come find her in Valhalla, and that Bo will never stop looking for a way to bring Kenzi back. Why would they include this line if they were not planning on bringing Kenzi back?
Another thing is they are being suspiciously secretive about if Ksenia Solo will be back for season 5 of Lost Girl or not. (She even appeared as a special guest on the afterbuzztv show and when they asked her if Kenzi is coming back she said that she is not allowed to talk about that.) If she has indeed left the show then why would she not be allowed to confirm that she is indeed not returning to the show? That just wouldn't make any sense, especially considering K.C Kollins was allowed to confirm that he is not coming back to the show.
Again, if Ksenia Solo is not coming back then why would they not just come out and say that Ksenia Solo won't be back? They confirmed that K.C Kollins (who portrays Hale in Lost Girl) is not coming back. So if Ksenia Solo was not coming back then why would they keep that a secret?
Also, it is possible that they deliberately left out Ksenia Solo's name from the returning cast list in order to build up tension for the upcoming season. If I recall correctly they did the same thing with Rachel Skarsten (Tamsin) between seasons 3 and 4 of Lost Girl. Her name was not listed on the returning cast list for season 4 in order to build tension among all the Tamsin fans.
I don't know if you guys have been keeping tabs on the Lost Girl facebook account, but fans are already extremely upset that the show had Kenzi die in the first place. The show's facebook account is getting bombarded with requests to bring Kenzi back. Can you imagine the backlash the show would suffer if they don't bring her back?
I think she'll come back, but only briefly and as a guest star.
shareI think they are not saying anything about Kenzi because they're afraid of ratings going down. The ratings went down during season 3 and I don't think they went back up during season 4.
shareYou have some interesting points here.
But it may simply be a non-disclosure clause (NDC) in her contract that wasn't in Collins. If she agrees to the NDC it would allow for the potential return of the actor to the role.
This follows the assumption that Ksenia Solo left for her own reasons; maybe to branch off into other projects. If things do not go well she always has the option to revive her role.
Why would producers offer such a clause? This provides uncertainty about Kenzi's ultimate fate which would have a significant impact on the show's ratings.
The "mystery" would keep fans watching the show and the producers feel they may shift there allegiance to other characters or just stay fans of the show for other merits. This would be a much better outcome for the them than Ksenia announcing her departure outright.
And it leaves open the possibility of Ksenia returning to her comfort zone if her star value does not translate outside the Kenzi mystique. She is obviously very talented so hopefully she is able to further her ambitions.
That clears up a lot of questions for me. I totally agree with you.
