He hasn’t been canceled, simply lost a passion project due to the spineless nature of the film industry, not the first time it’s happened and certainly won’t be the last. Fortunately for Zahler fans such as myself, he is a man of great talent and his other logs in the fire. He isn’t going anywhere.

Absurd. This guy is the best thing that has happened to movies in a while. A writer/director that delivers gritty genre films that are satisfying on so many levels. I will throw money at any project he gets behind.

Nope. People are just projecting what they claim to see in the movies. Also every film of his that I have seen has been great. The movie that he could not get funding for sounds like it was for the best. I much rather seem a crime, wester, horror, or drama movie from him. Or better yet adapt one of his other novels.
