Spotify Takes Down Neil Young’s Songs in Response to Ultimatum Over Joe Rogan’s Podcast

Sounds like he wanted to cancel free speech.
shareHe thought he could dictate how a company does business, LOL.
shareSounds like he wanted to exercise his first amendment right to freedom of association. What are right-wingers gonna complain about next, M&Ms are sexist because the green one ditched the high heels? Do any of you have real jobs?
shareI think he was hoping to be on the winning side/hoping other artists would follow suit. Seems like he was virtue signalling. Trying to take down anybody who has an opposing view to your own is not the way to win an argument, it's the way you pretend one never it existed.
shareI agree. He couldn't seriously have thought that he'd win that battle, unless a lot of other artists went in with him on his demand. In the end, nobody joined him, and it was an easy decision for Spotify, and they told him "okay Neil, we'll take down your music, including your handful of forty year-old hits, and keep the guy with the most popular podcast on planet earth right now, and it's large, steady stream of income that it brings us. Have a nice day."
