She sounds like a stuck up snot

Okay, this is just my opinion...

I've been reading some quotes from her that have been published, and some interviews, stories, studied her demeanor and read her tweets and its fine that she quit acting but she seriously sounds like a stuck up b!tch. Did something happen to her while she was filming while she was young that she is petrified to get on set? just the comments and the way she states them like "I only act with people whom I trust" and she wrote a play called "sheeple" and she sounds very cautious and wary of making films. Geez did Bryan Singer get to her too?! thats not funny but dang she sounds like she is a wannabe intelluctual snob.

she starts poppin off on twitter about not wanting to do mrs doubtfire ( fine, thats ok, do your thang girl) but then proceeds to pretty much bash the people who have decided to move forward with a sequal and tell them its a sucky idea. She could of stopped with "no im not part of the movie" but she adds a bratty NOR WILL I BE. and she goes on to explain how she doesnt get how they could do it again ( Mrs Doubtfire and all her antics) .... its like b!tch, its not your creative project to figure out, so shut up. She was annoying in the first one anyway and seems to be PREEEEETTY opinionated about a sequel that she HASN'T EVEN ASKED TO BE A PART OF YET.

freaking rude. Just say NOTHING Mara and when people figure out you're not on the cast list on imdb or wherever they find the news, then people will know. that way, you get what info you want out without drawing attention to yourself and looking like a snob by saying Mrs Doubtfire is a dumb idea ( which could be) but still THAT RUDE AS F1CK!

I dont like this girls face. it hasn't changed. Just read her quotes here on imdb she has said. irritating lil twat.

Where are you getting this idea that she bashed the people who are already involved with the project(as in Robin Williams and Sally Field. I believe Field already claimed she'll star in the sequel)? I never read her attacking anyone associated with the sequel (in fact, here's a link with her discussing how happy she was to be associated with the original: http://www.christianpost.com/news/mara-wilson-slams-mrs-doubtfire-2-se quels-generally-suck-118297/). Mind you, I'm not stating you're wrong but I just haven't seen her condemn Williams, Columbus, Field, etc.

Was she forthright with her views on sequels and Mrs. Doubtfire 2? Sure. But a bitch? I don't think so

What's your point? She's allowed her opinion and can be opinionated all she wishes. However, it's not as if this came out of the blue. She clearly has disliked sequels for a long time.

Now with regards to other quotes on imdb, those I will check (EDITED TO ADD: I just checked those. Again, outspoken and opinionated, not brat/bitch)

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing. She was basically a child actress with small parts on a few popular movies who worked for a few years but never made it big and eventually either retired or just couldn't find anymore work in the industry.

Now she goes on a long rant about how she would never agree to be in the Doubtfire sequel even though it's OBVIOUS that they would never invite her to be a part of it in the first place! She is a has-been former child actress who never made it in the industry and hasn't really worked in a decade, even if her character is in this sequel they would just recast her anyway.

I just read her quotes and thought the same exact thing. She seems like a stuck up little bitch, like she was some kind of child mega star. She was in a few decent movies but not exactly home alone quality.

Seeing as Home Alone made around as much as Mrs. Doubtfire, your argument is invalid

Looks like home alone 1 which was very popular and had sequels made 285 million by itself and mrs doubtfire made only 219 million and had no sequels. Hmmm, i wonder if 219 is as much as 285. I think not. Looks like your point is invalid.

damnn i can definitely can see why she quit hollywood.

half the people on this board hate her because they took her comments to be "snooty" lmao. matilda was huge when i was a kid, i knew mara wilsons name when i was like 10 years old, and she was only in like 3 big things.

the point is that her movies were recieved big when i was a kid, and it is MY age group that idolizes her (i am currently 27).

I just think its hilarious that when asked about her previous movies, people are mad that she viewed it to be iconic or important, especially when she was at the epicenter of all the popularity and saw its effect first hand.

Wouldnt have made more sense for mara to have continued acting in hollywood, giving up the love of her craft in order to rise up in celebrity and status? isnt that what stuck up people do?

Seems like she just quit something she didnt like, and persued something she did. Its the same thing people say about the kid from willy wonka, he made that movie n became a vet n people call him a loser too! Celebrity status is way too coveted than it should be.
