Someone posted this 2 year old petition which Brian supported: https://www.change.org/p/it-s-time-to-stop-trophy-hunting

It claims polar bears are "trophy hunted". No, they are shot because they prey on humans!
It claims there are only 25k (unchanged from 1984) and are threatened with extinction.

The whole polar bear endangerment hysteria is a massive crock of lies. Polar bears are thriving. There are more polar bears now than there have been in over a century. Polar bears rarely drown. They've been known to swim more than 100 miles. Polar bears are doing great.

I'm all for ending trophy hunting, everywhere!

Because it's not a trophy, unless the anomal is rare. Shooting a mule deer doesn't get you a trophy, even though mule deer are overpopulated because we've killed off their natural predators, because mule deer are everywhere. Shooting an elephant, is, even though they're threatened with extinction in the wild.
