Another acting great who deserves a post

I was watching an old Season 4 episode of "The A-Team" earlier this week and happened to see David White in it. My first thought, of course, was "It's Larry Tate!" πŸ˜€ But I checked here and saw that, like Robert Webber, he also didn't have a post here and he definitely deserves one!

He looked older and frailer in his "A-Team" episode than he did as Larry Tate. But it was great to see him and I think he's one of those actors that was so great that you kind of take their acting for granted, so to speak. He was a big part of the reason why "Bewitched" is a classic. Larry Tate, in many ways, was a really despicable character, but White somehow made him seem "human." I just can't imagine anyone other than White in that role...he played it so well.

He's another one whose background I never knew much about. Like Robert Webber, he was also a World War II vet (as a Marine!). He really was in a lot of things besides "Bewitched"...he really worked steadily over his acting career. He was 74 when he passed away in 1990 (heart attack).

Anyway, he definitely deserves a post here...a great actor who I think I will always remember as Larry Tate until the day I die!

Agreed.

Like a lot of people (I suspect!) I didn't know the name, but as soon as I saw the picture I thought Ah, that guy. Yes, he was always very good.
