Why is Andy Warhol so massively hated today?
Is it because he’s so ubiquitous?

Greetings, fellow DL-er!
shareBecause his art is eye-rolling (e.g. Campbell soup cans) and his "films" are lousy.
shareSour grapes Wuchak!
He's iconic of the 60s and I'm sure he has some good art, just not the Campbell Soup cans and the "movies" I've seen. For instance, if I take a one-dimensional video with my smart phone of a local street and post it for public consumption does that automatically make me a a director and writer? Obviously not.
shareDepends how you interpret art. I've never gotten it myself, and my father DESPISES art of all kinds, even movies. Go figure.
Here's a hint: Write an actual script and make the movie compelling/entertaining (one way or another) for the viewer. Make the painting something a person would want to hang on their wall. Make the music something people would actually want to listen to.
shareIs he? I've seen girls have quotes from him on their wall. Oh well.
shareHe's not. If there are haters, they just don't admire his genius.
