In a tabloid years ago, I read that Mamie stated that Rock raped her after a date in the 50's. How true that is I do not know, but considering Rock was gay, that is strange.

Oh yeah, on Rock's THS I can recall her telling how she was all over him (I would be too.) and they, well, I can't remember if they had sex, but I know they at least made out "all over the kitchen floor".

I think Mamie has told this story with two intrepretations. Before her book I think there was a tabloid piece 1986-87 where she said she felt Rock's attempts at making a pass were clumsy and then she realized the gay rumors about him were true but later in her book she says they had a hot makeout session and then she felt the rumors about him WEREN'T true, that is until he was later distant and she felt she had been used to keep his public image as a straight actor. Of course a bona fide sex bomb like Mamie Van D. might well make a gay guy cross over if only momentarily!!
