What we saw last night was the American electorate turned upside down. Trump won in a landslide. Not only did he win the electoral college; he won the popular vote by a substantial margin. And even more surprising is that he did both of these things while losing a share of the white vote and old vote, which previously comprised his base. After reviewing the data, Trump won because of Gen Z.
