Cutting off his own nose?

Trump transition team compiling list of current and former U.S. military officers for possible courts-martial

A 2022 independent review by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction blamed both the Trump and Biden administrations for the chaotic U.S. withdrawal in 2021.

Trump first reached an agreement with the Taliban in 2020 to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan, roughly 13,000 troops, and release 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison. The Biden administration then completed the withdrawal and badly overestimated the ability of Afghan government forces to fight the Taliban on their own.

Will Trump encourage the court martial of officers who complied with his own orders, and the orders of president Biden? It would only make him look bad if he did.

Never forget that Trump made a peace deal to with the Taliban to release 5000 of their terrorists and reduce our troop strength from 13,000 to 2,500 to make it easier to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan prior to leaving office.

That has to be one of the most chicken-sh*t things that Trump ever did as Commander in Chief. He stabbed our military in the back while they were facing thousands of terrorists on foreign soil.

The least Trump could have done was keep those 5000 terrorists in prison and either increased our military strength or got us out of there prior to leaving office.

reply

Retard, Biden was in office, Biden botched the withdrawal. It was not done according to Trump's plan. Trump's plan was for a slow draw down. Biden evacuated in the middle of the night like a thief and he did so to achieve a political talking point. Trump's plan also called for maintaining the base at Bagram.

Your lame-assed attempt to blame Trump for Biden's fuck-up is just more proof of how terminally stupid you people are.

reply

Yes Biden botched the withdrawl, everyone knows that.

Trump was not doing anyone any favors by releasing 5000 Taliban terrorists and drawing down our forces prior to leaving office.

Got a link to Trump's plan, or are you just making it up? Do you support punishing officers who obeyed the orders of Biden and Trump?

reply

Do they?

Shit rolls downhill, Biden should have been impeached for it.

reply

Is there anyone on MovieChat who is claiming that Biden did not botch the withdrawl?

Who is going to impeach Biden for screwing up in Afghanistan? The GOP controls Congress and the White House starting January 20, 2025.

Do you think the GOP will even talk about a Biden impeachment? They will not because Biden will defend himself by bringing up Trump's collaboration with the Taliban during his first term.

reply

Biden and every democrat thinks it was just fine.

No because they're partisan hacks that care more about power than the American people.

Collaboration? He literally told the Taliban leader he would bomb his house if any more Americans were killed.

reply

I was talking about releasing those 5000 Taliban terrorists and drawing down our military to make them more vulnerable. You think that was a good idea?

When did the Taliban stop killing Americans while Trump was president? American soldiers never stopped dying in Afghanistan while Trump was president. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_casualties_in_the_War_in_Afghanistan#Fatalities_by_month_and_year
