Sometimes plans just don't work out...

Of course there's nothing funny about a shooting. But I do find it a bit amusing when you try to do one thing, then the exact opposite desired outcome happens from your best attempt!

Kind of like Chernobyl...a safety test turns into the exact opposite of a safe situation.

Kid wakes up that day, thinks he has a great plan in place. Did all the scouting before-hand. Says to himself "Today, I both kill that rotten snake liar and get my name in the History books! Probably write a few books from prison. Save Democracy. And I'll show everybody who thought I couldn't shoot who the man is!"... Going from that idea to handing Trump the Presidency and giving him a free epic photo-shoot, while proving that you're Cheddar Bob, is quite the opposite of what he had in mind I'm sure! Thought he'd eliminate Trump and be a semi-hero to millions, just to silver-platter him the Presidency and look like a buffoon to all. Unbelievable how badly a plan can go sideways.

Maybe he had these grand plans, but I think it's equally as likely he was just at the end of his ropes, considering the reports about his history/bullying coming out. A school shooter mindset - one destructive act before potential suicide. Instead of taking out a bunch of random people however, he saw an opportunity to up the stakes with Trump visiting his area.

Curious what the actual motive will be though, if it's actually discovered/released.

If they haven't pretty much figured out the motive yet I doubt they will. Maybe there's something out there they aren't telling us, but most of the other recent high profile shooters out there have been relatively easy to figure out, even within hours.

The kid was probably hired by Deniro since Deniro couldn't keep his mouth shut about Trump and so much as stood outside the Courthouse when his trial was going on in NYC and if not that, then the debate came and Biden crushed every liberals dream of beating Trump and now they've gone off the deep end over it, but this shooting stalled any talks of replacing Biden and that's what the Dems counted on

Yes...thank you! I was once into Ghosts and Aliens and other nonsense too...but I always kept an open mind to facts...which is why I changed my mind about those items eventually as well. So I guess I've had that trait for a while. Anyway, thanks again for the facts/proof about that issue.

Great post, and as to his plan going sideways, the local police are to thank for this. They had discovered his position moments before the shooting, and one officer was even scaling the roof and was forced to drop due to the shooter pointing his rifle at him. When the shooter fired at Trump he was doing so in haste as well as in the physiological response that comes with fight/flight, which to the untrained or uninitiated is similar to operating under shock, as he must have known that he would be killed in the next few seconds.
Imagine shooting a target 130 yards away (I think that was the distance) with a 12” woofer going off in your chest every time your heart beats.
Local LEO presence saved the day and allowed secret service to take his ass out.

I don't think DancingintheDark meant any disrespect but I understand why you posted that. And LEO didn't save anyone. This whole event was complete buffoonery on their part 😞

In case you haven't heard, there is evidence of a 2nd shooter that is believed to have killed Corey and injured the others. So sad, my heart breaks for his family 💔

I get where you are coming from but this whole thing makes me sad. Too many kids and too many people, young and old, feeling the only way they can relieve their pent up frustration and pain with being bullied, harrassed, etc is by going and killing innocent people. 😞😢
