MovieChat Forums > Donald Trump Discussion > Elon Musk Fully Endorses Trump After Fai...

He always supported Trump. Are you dumb?

reply

he just endorsed him. Trump will be your President soon!

reply

Name two (2) times he's been critical of Trump. I'll wait.

reply

I think is the first time he has ever publicly endorsed him.

reply

Okay, but did you really, unironically think he didn't support Trump?

reply

What I think regarding Musk's view of Trump, isn't relevant.

reply

He clearly was pro-Trump. The endorsement is just a stunt. You're so gullible and partisan that it's sad.

reply

it seems that your feelings are hurt.

reply

Back when his claim to fame was being the electric car guy, I never got the feeling he was especialy conservative.

My feel from what I have seen of him, is that he is quickly being radicalized by the push back he is getting becasue of owning Twitter and not censoring the right people.

reply

I will name you 3 times.

reply

Theodore Roosevelt was indeed tough, and faced his own assassination attempt at a rally, but that's where the similarities end. Teddy was a progressive in a post-Gilded Age era, an outdoorsman that rode horses into battle (as opposed to golf carts into sand traps) and, most importantly, he was NOT an isolationist. He believed in America as a world leader, an international player. He was also an intellectual and public servant with vast governmental experience.
.
Trump is NOT Roosevelt.

Trump is Warren G. Harding.

reply

Roosevelt owned slaves!

reply

He was like seven years old when the slaves were emancipated and his family lived in Manhattan, NY. How do you figure he owned slaves?

reply

Unequivocally a blatant lie. Although ten of the first twelve presidents did own them, they were all far before Roosevelt's time.

Some slave-owning figures of American history can still be respected for their individual qualities in other arenas, as long as one does not subscribe to the illogical mindset of presentism.

presΒ·entΒ·ism
/ˈpreznˌ(t)iz(Ι™)m/
noun
uncritical adherence to present-day attitudes, especially the tendency to interpret past events in terms of modern values and concepts.

Since Trump refused to pay contractors for their working class labor at his properties, and had his attorneys handle them under threat of unsustainable litigation, he is the closest politician in modern times to being a slave-owner. As well as being the most Anti-Union president since Ronald Reaganβ€”proprietor of Voodoo economics. (Talk about a leader who suffered from dementia!)

reply

He paved railroads with Chinese skeletons!

reply

The transcontinental railroad? Once again, you are talking about decades before Roosevelt came to power. Hit me up with a notification whenever you get around to thinking about the Panama Canal.

America respects diversity and the hardworking and brutal history of immigrant labor. Without it, and the industrial revolution, we couldn't have such comparably comfortable lives today. I respect the ancestors of our fellow countryman and their sacrifices, whether of African descent, or Irish, or Native, or Italian, or Chinese, or Mexican... or Dutch, like the Roosevelts.

White supremacy no longer has any place in America outside of Mar-o-Lago. Folks of Anglo-Saxon descent and modern sensibilities are generally fine and patriotic Americans, too. Just keep them away from the tiki-torches.

Vote Biden/Harris 2024, four more years!

reply

This. Gerald Ford had several attempted assassinations too. Why not use the comparison with him?

reply

Elmo endorsed him since he bought twitter.

reply

I think before that.

I watched an interview where he said democrats subsidised electric cars, except Tesla. The democrats were effectively subsidising his competition.

I think he bought twitter for political influence, and to support republicans. Because republicans will remove all subsidises, and put an end to subsides given to his competitors.

reply

republicans will kill electric cars and leave fuel ones. And will leave him out of business.

reply

I doubt that. I think republicans just won't subsidise it.
