There is a man, a wealthy man, who was willing and is willing, to stand up and pronounce his opinion that the country in which he lives in, is in deep trouble. He desires to correct the wrongs of those who are in power, the ones that led us into this condition, and to remove them from power, in order to Make America Great Again. This man is elected, took no salary, and did his best to fulfill his promise to all of the people, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, or political persuasion.
What in the Hell is wrong with that? Is that a criminal enterprise? It must be. He was impeached twice, accused of being a Russian agent, and is currently being indicted as a felon at least four times, and his lawyers are not even allowed their right to speak in his defense, with a gag order put on him to shut up in court or without.
Why would this man go through all of this? If he, by some miracle, were even to be reelected in 24 it would only be for another four short years. So why go through all of this?
If you are not appalled at this outrage, then what in the hell is the matter? The wellbeing of this country affects each and every one of us and if that is not important then nothing at all is either and we will all suffer as a result of refusing to see what is most important to correct.
Anyone can say the country is in deep trouble, and many do.
I saw nothing in his actions that indicated any desire to correct any wrongs. In fact he contributed greatly to additional problems and made the swamp even deeper, which is only being fixed by indictments of some of the incompetent people he surrounded himself with.
Trump was required to take a salary, it was not optional. I donate larger percentage of my salary than Trump if we are to believe his claims of how rich he is.
Trump did not do his best to fulfill any promises at all. In fact he broke a promise as soon as he was elected, he folded like a lawn chair on his promise to put Clinton in prison.
Trump was impeached for his crimes, he is not above the law. Trump was indicted for the alleged crimes he committed; once again he is not above the law. Do you really think you would be out of jail awaiting trial if you were accused of racketeering charges or of mishandling classified information? I had a security clearance for over 35 years, I know if I did what Trump did, I probably be denied bail and be behind bars waiting for my trial to start.
Trump and his lawyers are allowed to speak out in his defense. They are not allowed to make threats or attack the judge. Almost everyone else knows this, except for you and Trump it seems.
Trump wants to be president again to avoid prison. He wants to be able to use his authority as the head of the executive branch to continue to line his pockets at the expense of the US tax payer.
I am appalled that Trump was able to go this long without facing real justice. The well being of this country is not dependent upon whether or not Trump is indicted, on trial or in prison. The USA is far stronger than any single politician.
The country will suffer if the rich and powerful are not held to the same standard as the rest of us.
