Conservatives should just take the L on this one

cmon guys. the fact that donald freakin trump, a wealthy billionaire with tons of connections, is getting indicted is pretty telling that he is actually corrupt. i'm willing to bet 99.9% of billionaires and presidents have done shady illegal stuff. the fact that trump cant get away with it when everyone else could and can is pretty telling that what he did is serious and unforgivable. at this point it goes far beyond "i dont like him because he said mean things on twitter." people loathed bush, clinton, and obama but they did not get arrested or charged with anything. i'm sure most conservatives will still say the courts have some sort of liberal biased, even though the majority of American lawpeople are overwhelmingly right-leaning. why not just start voting for actual republican politicians instead of corrupt tv celebrities in the future?

There was no crime.

NDAs are legal and used 1000s of times a day. Hence why the Department of Justice never indicted Trump after they investigated this matter for years.

Any questions?

reply

so why he get in trouble this time

reply

The presumption of innocence is a legal principle that every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty. Under the presumption of innocence, the legal burden of proof is thus on the prosecution, which must present compelling evidence to the trier of fact.

reply

Un-indicted Co-Conspirator Individual-1 says, nuh-uhhhhh! That would be DJT saying that, if you had been keeping track of the Michael Cohen trial in which DJT's own DOJ prosecuted Cohen for a crime that \Cohen did on behalf of Individual-1.

reply

Yes
What are the 33 charges again?

https://www.manhattanda.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Donald-J.-Trump-Indictment.pdf

THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF NEW YORK, by this indictment, accuses
the defendant of the crime of FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST
DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10

34 separate indictments of 175.10.

reply

The NDAs are legal, nobody is saying they aren't. If Trump wants to get his porn stars to sign NDAs so they can't talk about his fornication with them, that's fine.

But he is accused of committing crimes by falsifying business documents to cover up the payments under those NDA, and violating electing laws, and tax laws, so in furtherance of hiding information from the voting public.

take the L on this one

Oh look, it's more meaningless attempts at advice from liberal dorks trying to sound like they're from the "street"

What good timing, I had my mind stolen by a monkey today so I'm just in the right market for this!

reply

lmao how out of touch do you have to be to think "take the L" is a "street" term??? that shit originated on tiktok bro.

The liberals pushing this indictment have no moral high ground whatsoever. Honestly think about what you are saying and realize just how dire the consequences will be.

For the Liberal Un-Washed please do explain what are the consequences. Sometimes one doesn't know what they don't know.

Donald Rumsfeld:
Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones.
Help them Obi-Wan, you are their only hope.

reply

What dire consequences? What are you going to do? Crying like a little baby on the obscure MovieChat forum is not that dire.

reply

Dire consequences lol

reply

Seriously one of the worst posts I have ever read, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself.

reply

facts and logic can be a scary thing. im not ashamed that you were exposed to the truth.

reply

Facts, logic and truth are things your OP is utterly void of.

reply

so trump is not a wealthy billionaire with tons of connections? he's not getting indicted? politicians have never done anything shady? everyone loved obama and bush jr? most law students/schools are liberal?

reply

Your posts read like a teenager composed them and your grammar is atrocious. I instantly dismiss anything you say before even the "substance" of the post, which is also lacking.

reply

oh im sorry, i had no idea this was a college english class where strict grammar rules are enforced. as if you could fathom anything about college lmao. you just sound butthurt that you know im correct and wont argue because "durrrr you gramar is bad!"

reply

Your OP is the speculation of a low IQ pleb, there's nothing to argue against. You haven't made a single point.

reply

Ok you want me to respond to your guff?
Wow.. I'm honestly surprised you believe everything the mainstream media feeds you. Just because someone is wealthy and has connections doesn't automatically mean they're corrupt. That's an incredibly unfair and biased assumption. The fact that Trump is being indicted is more indicative of the politicization of the justice system than anything else.

You seem to forget that President Trump accomplished more for America than most politicians ever will. He made significant progress on trade, the economy, and foreign relations. And yet, the left is still obsessively focused on trying to take him down. It's truly shameful.

As for your assertion that most billionaires and presidents have done shady illegal stuff, that's just baseless speculation. It's dangerous to make such sweeping generalizations without any evidence to back them up.

And finally, I have to disagree with your suggestion that we start voting for "actual republican politicians." President Trump was a true outsider who challenged the establishment and brought real change to Washington. We need more leaders like him, not career politicians who are only interested in maintaining the status quo.
