> Trump would have been worth $13 Billion right now had he just put his money into Index Funds
Of course most have heard these speculations, just like the speculations that Trump is senile, or Biden or W. I don't put much store in them. It could be true or could not be, but there were lots of reasons not to take too seriously some of the hindsight financial claims. A lot of people didn't suspect the stock market would take off as it has, and I'm not sure the stock market casino is the greatest way to run an economy. The index fund strategy has not been that widely known or trusted before about 2000. I think popularized by Bogle and Vanguard when people started to do the math on how Mutual Funds were ripping people off. I guess we can be glad that Trump didn't do that. I was just talking to my steadfast Conservative Republican father today for Father's Day today, and after all these years even he has come around to repudiating Trump and the Republicans of today. That is the best present a son can get on Father's Day I guess.
Have a good one.
