It's such a ridiculous story. Cohen pays off Stormy Daniels with 130,000 as part of an agreement not to talk with his own money and doesn't so much as run it by his client? Come on.
Do you really believe Trump's telling the truth about that? Are you that blindly loyal to Trump? I'm curious.
If Trump said "Take care of the situation, but don't tell me what you do," then that would make sense. He would thus be telling the truth that he did not know about the payment.
shareTrump's a shrewd businessman, of course he knew about it. At the very least, he let the lawyer make some decisions on his own, but no doubt he would have been fully aware of it. To not be aware is bad business.
That said, if Rosenstein, Sessions, and Mueller are out in the next 3-6 months, I will not be surprised. Dang shame too, Sessions was the first congressman to openly support Trump, the recusal was a stupid move.
I think the answer is yes, they do believe it....
