Yet another 'best of the best' leaves the White House
Another winning one of T-rump's 'hand-picked, best-of-the-best' staff members has left the White House as allegations of 'domestic abuse' against him pile up.
Senior staffer Rob Porter, who is in charge of 'the flow of information' to T-rump these days, resigned his position yesterday after his two ex-wives came forth in interviews describing the physical assaults they endured while married to him.
One of his former wives recounted being choked by him, while another told the harrowing story of being dragged out of the shower and the emotional abuse by him. Porter denied the allegations via White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, calling them 'outrageous' and 'simply false'.
He had called it a 'smear campaign' when photos from 2005 of his first wife Colbie Holderness with a black eye surfaced earlier this week. Holderness claims it was the result when Porter 'threw her down and punched her in the face' while vacationing in Italy. She also accused him of throwing her on the bed and forcing her down while he tried to choke her back in 2003.
Porter called her claims 'vile' and 'false'.
Yesterday, his second ex-wife came forward and told reporters of an incident on their honeymoon in which Porter abused her because she declined to have sex with him 'often enough' to please him. Within a year, Jennifer Willoughby left him and filed a temporary protective order against him.
Porter, the current paramour of communications director Hope Hicks, worked as an assistant to chief of staff John Kelly, resigned yesterday. Kelly says he was 'shocked' by the allegations against Porter, and encouraged him to stay on, yet accepted his resignation at the end of the day.
So tired of 'winning'.
