The demographic of House makes it one of the brightest of prime-time audiences, so I think the audience generally and perhaps women in particular would mostly agree with you dozzy. Hadley (played by Olivia) is vanilla in comparison.
Watching the dynamics last night, it seemed to me Masters (Amber's role) gives a new edge to the Taub and Foreman roles. Chase seemed the odd one out, and perhaps Chase or Hadley (Olivia's part) may be the ones to move on, not Masters.
Superbright has worked on the House show before. Remember Amber Volakis (Cutthroat Bitch)? Huge ratings for her arc. That was the last time I stayed glued.
Amber Tamblyn sounds superbright in her interviews - that poetry circuit she is on needs special intelligence - and she has played superbright before.
I was blown away by Anna Kendrick as a superbright debater in Rocket Science (rent it if you liked Amber in House, you'll miss her too when she is not onscreen) and it looks to me like Amber could also have played that part.
