That's mine also. Starting with Home Alone 2 he seemed to just go over the top goofy and this carried over into Rookie of the Year and Bushwhacked.

Home Alone is definitely #1. That is THE quintessential Daniel Stern role.
After that I had to go to IMDB to be reminded of what else he was even in.
He almost lost the Home Alone role by holding out for more money when they extended the shooting schedule. They hired another actor who ended up not working out, so Stern got another shot at it.
He admitted it was a dumb decision to hold out.
