Did you catch 'And Then There Were None'?

If you did what did you think of Toby as Dr Armstrong? I thought it was great to see Toby outside of Black Sails (before season 3 begins!). I liked his neurotic portrayal of the character. It was very tense. He looked beefed-up - perhaps this is for Black Sails? I'm used to seeing him slimmer.

I loved his performance in ATTWN. It is very different form Cambridge spies and black sail. But he has gain weight in this show. Did he get it purposely for the role or he has gone fat ?

Sorry for bad English

I'm not sure but it seems that some of the cast of Black Sails have beefed-up for their roles, like the chap who plays Long John Silver - he seems to have put on weight as well, judging from the pre-season 3 photos. It might be to show some passage of time from the first two seasons.

It's not fat, it's muscle. He looks like he put about 30lbs of muscle on. There was a Men's Health magazine spread with the main actors from Black Sails (Luke Arnold, Toby and Tom Hooper) and it showed them shirtless doing their daily work out. Holy f###ck. They were all so absurdly buff that one can only assume they do nothing but exercise in their downtime. Here's one pic of Toby to give you an idea, but there are tons more and he looks HOT.

Toby was hands down one of my favorite aspects of And Then There Were None. He was hilariously scene stealing. His hysteria and sarcasm were a total hoot. (You little *beep* You run me off the road and then have the temerity to tell me it's my fault!?)

Thanks for the suggestion. I watched part 1 of this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, TS looks totally different from our sexy pirate but he does a great job of conveying his character's personality. I'm looking forward to watching the rest tonight. Seriously, TS is a wonderful actor, he should be much more mainstream than he is - what a pity he's so under the radar.

You're going to love it. Toby just gets more and more high strung in part 2.

Lol, just watched it. Loved the hysterical giggling, . Seriously, this character is as far removed from Flint as you can possibly get. He's marvelous!

Now on to part 3.
