You're comparing two things that are completely different.
Trump's court cases were politically motivated and legally illegitimate. In a sane world, they never would have been brought against him in the first place. Fortunately, in his cases corruption and weaponization of the justice system by political opponents has been stopped in its tracks.
Smollett was charged, found guilty, and convicted of faking a crime. To any intelligent person, the evidence against him is beyond question. His misbehavior agitated race relations across the country, and cost taxpayers a lot of money. Unfortunately, in his case corruption of the justice system has prevailed.

The indictment you were rooting for only made those suffering TDS happy - everyone else saw this as the obvious political witch hunt it was. What we've learned is that the Dems use Banana Republic tactics to try to silence the opposition, and most importantly, NO ONE is safe from federal judicial abuse.
If it could happen to Trump, it could happen to me. That phony conviction along with the phony tie in of Trump to Putin is what pushed me to vote for Trump.

He tries to compare Jussie to Richard Jewel. Both had lawyers defending them. The big difference is that Jewel was never charged because his lawyer saw thru the evidence against him; 60 Minutes helped as well. Jussie's lawyer couldn't defend him - he was found guilty and only got it reversed because of a technicality - much like Bill Cosby.
