I swear if you flip through the channels on a TV or cable box you will come across this guy's ugly mug somewhere ... he is all over the place. Since I tried watching the show Oz and saw his character I almost cannot bear to see his ugly mug any more, not to mention those damn insurance commercials.

shareHe's an amazing actor, and can convincingly play just about any type of supporting role. I say "supporting" because he doesn't really have the look in demand for a leading role. He's fantastic, though.

It's true he's versatile as an actor and that's why he's so successful. Those are the sort of actors who are prolific and get plenty of parts, they can fit in anywhere and people feel comfortable with them because they have probably seen them in something else, and think "oh, I like this actor, he was good in..."
But I think he can carry a movie...he basically did that in Whiplash...he dominated that movie completely.
He's very professional, likable, a workaholic and bankable, a combination that producers/directors love.
Probably works cheap too.
He's not real. He's a CGI creation of Industrial Light and Magic. Ellen Page said she got sick of having to do any scene with his character in Juno because she had to perform them on a green screen and she had to talk to a broom which was the stand-in on the set. They punched him in during post.
