Disgusting pig in Oz
Sick *beep*.
shareMy introduction to him was in Oz all those years ago, so it was funny seeing him in "friendly" roles after that. Really shows his ability.
shareWatch him in Counterpart, now on Amazon Prime. Yeah, he played the Nazi, Schillinger, on Oz (a repulsive and, at bottom, trivial show with the sole purpose of being shocking and sensational). Yeah, he played J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-man, an entirely different character. Does he have skills and RANGE? Watch him play TWO VERSIONS of the SAME character in Counterpart, and you tell me.
A word: fasten your seatbelt.
I have enjoyed him in Counterpart. Shows his acting abilities a lot more, since he is playing two different selves, right down to body manners.
shareI have a hard time separating him from his Oz character the behavior was so horrible. Now that sounds narrow minded but why would an actor accept such a deplorable role in a series?
You can call it talent but in my mind and a few other peoples it left a nasty stain on his career. Oz terrified me as a kid and when I saw him appear in the spider man movie in 2002 I remember jumping back in my seat ''Oh no, it's Schillinger!!''.
The thing is that even in that role he showed a human side to Schillinger - a loving father - and someone who could repent after being put in his place by Beecher in season 1.
shareBut why was he so hard on Peter Parker?
shareHe pulls a real King Joffery with this one.
I hear both of the actors (JK Simmons & Jack Gleeson) are nice in real life.
