No longer the laughing stock?

I'll admit, I loved ripping on this guy because his last few movies were so laughably bad. I honestly only survived 13 minutes of After Earth before I shut it off. But I heard his last movie the Visit was pretty good, so I might just have to check it out myself.

Was The Visit good enough to make him no longer a laughing stock?

I loved it. I know his last 4 movies before this minus the Devil were crap. But this was really good. I was surprised.

I hear most people who hated After Earth was down to race.
I haven't seen it myself so I can not comment.

What could you possibly be basing that on?

Just look at that parking lot!

It was a big talking point when the film was released.
It was well noted if the film would have never had the same backlash or hate if it was about white people. And I agree.

Even if that was true (I challenge you to find some proof) , does that really support your allegation that MOST people hated it based on the race of the main characters.

Your allegation can be pushed aside with the lightest brush of logic. People who hated the movie because it stared two black characters, went to a movie that starred two black people why?

besides that there's no way to prove your second and frankly more ridiculous allegation that if the film had starred white people it would have been better received, how on earth do you support that?

yeah, they avoided this movie because it was starring a black person...

a black person who just happens to be among hollywood's most marketable stars for about 3 decades now...

okay...

Just look at that parking lot!
