R.I.P. to a true star. I have never been a country music fan but his fried chicken is great!

My mom first saw Kenny Rogers in concert when he had Asleep At The Wheel as his opening act and Mom and a few of her friends had tons of fun seeing Kenny perform. Later she started buying one of his albums and it brought back memories of that concert. I do remember eating Kenny Rogers Roasters chicken when my aunt got some for a New Year's Eve dinner and it was great tasting chicken and my mom liked the Roasters cole slaw too and I can say Kenny Rogers was a genius when it came to designing food. Too bad Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurants went broke because the chicken was so good. Kenny will be remembered for his awesome ideas and musical talent

They said he died "naturally", which I find impossible. He had to have had some underlying health issues. He was only 81, and you just don't die naturally of old age at 81 unless something else is going on.

In any event, I'm amazed at how badly he screwed up his legacy in his later years. He started out as a legendary singer, later became a joke when he got bad plastic surgery and then sort of his away from the public eye in embarrassment after the fallout. He should've just embraced his age like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash instead of destroying the very unpretentious, down to Earth image that made him so popular.

Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for is to die
in your sleep

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

reply

R.I.P.
