She couldn't even afford Obamacare?
This situation seems more like her kids don't want to use any of that inheritance money up and want other people to pay for the medical stuff.
shareProof of healthcare is a requirement when paying taxes in the USA. How has she avoided scrutiny until now?
shareThat is not true anymore.

Even with health insurance, a major illness or injury can bankrupt a person in the USA.
Her kids are on record saying she has no insurance. Did nobody play the game of LIFE as a kid, and know that you ALWAYS buy insurance?
shareShe can't be so poor so as to not be able to "afford" health insurance, I have to believe that as a former athlete, she just didn't feel it necessary. I don't have all the details, so I might be wrong. Don't go crowd-sourcing and GoFunding someone who chose to live on the edge and take the risk.

I was making an analogy to Bidens student loan debt relief. Myself and my wife and kids went to college for well-paying degrees (hint: Not philosophy) and paid off our loans. We are not the ones getting bailed out by Biden
.
Her daughter said she didn't have insurance. That seems irresponsible to me. But again, I don't know the finer details.
