shareIt was his own, apparently. He left it idling, but it shifted into gear somehow and ran him over when he tried to stop it. That's all I know.
Now that was foolish I would have just got out of the way. He should just have turned it off completely.

I think people have been saying that it had been left in "park" and started moving nonetheless, and look at the thing. The only way to get into the driver's seat is to climb ON the treads, and imagine what would happen if the treads started moving when you're standing on them! Someone on another forum says that Snow-Cats need some sort of metal platform next to the driver's seat, something a person can stand on other than the treads. That makes more sense than the existing design.
thing would look less bad ass tho. this actor bought the serious machine as a toy and was probably using it incorrectly, Nonetheless I wish him a speedy recovery hope he's not too seriously fucked up

He was using it as toy since those quarter million dollar beasts are made to keep mountain ski resort running, not a driveway plowed. its like buying a Lamborghini for your grandma to use for grocery shopping trips.
The dude is famous and rich as fuck, probably getting jewed out on more than 50 percent of his profit by Cali taxes. So squandering huge amounts of money on machines like this makes sense to avoid paying the retard taxes out there. He didnt need such a badass piece of equipment but hey better pay those guys 250,000$ for the cool machine than show profit and pay 150,000$ in tax to keep 100,000$ in the bank. It does make financial sense when ur a millionaire living and working in the communist state of commiefornia to squander money and crazy farm toys
To be fair, we can't afford doing this, but I am sure his grandma is enjoying her Lambo very much!
