Mr. Refn is reportedly working on an adaptation of Jodorowsky & Moebius' 1980s comic book series "The Incal".

This has potential to be great. Seeing as Refn in a Jodorowsky fan and Jodo himself is on board this could be done faithfully and capture the bizarre metaphysics in Incal.
My only worry is that how could all that be squashed into a two hour film?
a challenge indeed.
I just hope the studios do not butcher this and that it doesn't end up in development hell akin to the likes of Dune.
If done right, this film will NOT appeal to most. Aesthetically it could be a feast (sure just look at the whole Fifth Element thing) I'd love it if looked something as bright and kitchy as that but a grittier, proper 80's Heavy Metal feel to it would be a treat also.)
