Wow, 2 weeks ago I saw him in a 90s tv movie with Katey Sagal and I wondered if he was still working. RIP.

Sad to see that. Yes, he was great as Douglas Brackman in "LA Law" and that's probably his most memorable role. However, I binge-watched "Dharma And Greg" a couple of years ago and it was interesting to see him play Dharma's father. I'm going to have to re-watch some of the old "Dharma And Greg" episodes now...RIP, Alan Rachins. 😥

He was also the asshole stage show director/producer in Showgirls.

reply

I haven't seen that film blue1981.

Was he good in Showgirls?

A villainous role, correct? Probably so if he was an "asshole".

Right?

reply

Villainous? I think that's open to interpretation but good in the role.

reply

Damn. I love LA Law. I watched a ton of episodes during the COVID lockdowns. He was great indeed as Brackman. RIP
