"Celebrity"? I never knew anything about her 'til I looked up a "Friends" episode and I've gotta read this stuck-up crap?

Was scheduled to ring the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange on September 29, 2008 - a day when the Dow Jones industrial average dropped 778 points - but decided not to so as to "let the day be about the market and not about having a celebrity ring the bell".

Who in hell gives a sheet who rings the closing bell anyway? What a pompous bee-itch.

It sounds to me like she was NOT wanting to be the center of attention! And for your information, they have many celebrities and corporate CEOs ring the bell. Almost every day some one or some group is doing it. I agree with you it is not really that big of a deal, but it is happening.

I remember her from the "Drew Cary Show". She was "Onkie" in the high school reunion episode.
